Information
What is Pető Pont?
Pető Pont in Kaposvár provides local access to conductive educational habilitation and rehabilitation based on the Pető method for children and adults with movement impairments of neurological origin. With professional support from the András Pető Faculty, it offers individual and group sessions, counselling and follow-up.
What is the Pető method?
The Pető method is a comprehensive system of conductive education. It develops movement, communication, thinking and self-care within a single programme so that learned strategies can be used in everyday life.
Who is a conductor?
Conductive education is provided by a specially trained professional called a conductor. They design and lead individual or group programmes tailored to each participant’s needs and goals.
Who can benefit in childhood?
Families can enquire about delayed or atypical motor development, increased or low muscle tone, asymmetrical posture or a diagnosed neurological injury. The appropriate form of support is always selected following an individual assessment.
Who can benefit in adulthood?
Conductive rehabilitation may provide support following central nervous system injury or stroke, and for people with multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease. The appropriate session format is determined through an assessment.
How can conductive education help?
For children, it can support gross and fine motor skills, communication, and cognitive and social development. For adults, the aim is to develop and maintain walking quality, hand use, communication, self-care and an active lifestyle for as long as possible.
What sessions are available?
Individual and group conductive education for children, early intervention, intensive child development sessions, individual and group conductive rehabilitation for adults, assessments and parent consultations.
What special education services are available?
Special education assessments, school readiness assessments, individual and group special education sessions, and comprehensive school preparation sessions.
How can I book?
Appointments can be arranged in person, by telephone or by email. During your first enquiry, our team will help you choose the appropriate service or assessment.
What happens at the first appointment?
The first appointment includes a discussion and assessment. Development goals and the appropriate individual or group format are then agreed with the participant or, for a child, with their parent.
Where can I find the fees?
